Casa BAGILLE
Casa BAGILLE
The project concerns the complete renovation of a historic building arranged over multiple levels, with origins dating back to the pre-18th century period. The intervention includes a change of use to residential, structural consolidation, and philological restoration of the façades, preserving their historic character.
Characteristic elements such as the stone vaults in the basement level, wooden mezzanines, and window surrounds are retained, while openings are adapted to ensure adequate natural lighting. The roof will be rebuilt with traditional stone slabs and timber structures, respecting historic proportions, and new wooden windows with triple glazing will be installed.
A small contemporary extension on the north side improves internal usability without altering the building’s historic identity, while balconies and finishes respect Valdostan architectural tradition, combining heritage and modern comfort.
