Villette COURMAYEUR

Villette COURMAYEUR

The project involves the construction of a residential complex composed of seven duplex villas, distributed across five building volumes and integrated into a steeply sloping site. The arrangement follows a central pedestrian path, with two underground levels created to compensate for the elevation difference and minimize ground impact.
The architecture draws inspiration from Valdostan tradition, combining exposed stone and wood cladding with stone-slab roofs and corten-clad dormers. Natural materials are paired with contemporary details in laminated timber and corten steel, achieving a balance between tradition and modernity.
The site design includes landscaped green areas with circular planters, trees, and pedestrian paths connecting the units, with garden elements integrated into structural functions such as stairs and access ramps. Balconies and railings play with solids and voids, enhancing vertical lines and adding movement to the façades.
The intervention aims to create a harmonious complex integrated with the surrounding urban and natural context, enhancing local materials, greenery, and the usability of outdoor spaces.
